Jill Stuart for Spring'11

Just a few months ago I was obsessing over Lanvin's collaboration with H&M. H&M going luxury is epic. But today, while I was browsing on last September's New York Fashion Week -or now known as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week- I came across Jill Stuart's show. I think her 2011's Spring collection is very wearable, very feminime. And of course just like most of the designers across the globe, her collection is also heavily influenced by the minimalism trend. I think minimalism makes it easy for everyone to be fashionable. One only needs a few key pieces to look presentable.

Here are a few of my favourite pieces

I might need to find a pretty  grey jacket just like the one in the first photo. It reminds me of Chanel's famous tweed jacket ;)

Graduated

School is officially out! I can now proudly proclaim that I've graduated :D So of course just as soon as school is out, prom is coming near. Unfortunately, I'm not going because of some reasons :(
That, of course does not stop me from fantasizing about my perfect prom and that includes the perfect dress, the perfect shoes, the perfect clutch and the perfect list goes on. Before school ended, my bestfriend and I talked about prom dress. I finally decided that my ultimate prom dress is the one shoulder  dress. It reminds me of Cupid and Psyche's love story. I think toga dress, especially the ones with ruffles are very romantic in some way and simply perfect for prom.

My new (decorated) room :)

I was reading my history notes (SPM is so near, damn!) when I realised that my walls were so empty. Mak and abah painted them purple as soon as we moved back to Kuala Lumpur last two years and I loved it. But then again, I am now a 17-year-old so who the hell needs a princess-like room at 17? I decided to decorate my room.
I looked into every single drawers in my rooms and went on searched for beads, sequins, papers, glitters, posters, photos and everything colourful. I started with making my own accessories pallette, using a purple box I got from this DIY mag. I put some of my headbands and bracelets in it. Then I nailed some nails on my dressing table walls where I put some of my headbands (again, I have too many headbands) and necklaces. I'm still trying to figure out where to put my rings and earrings though. In the mean time, I simply stash them on my dressing table.
And lastly my walls. I found some ad posters from my collection of Bazaar's, Cleos and Seventeen. I picked some of my favourites and put them on. Then I sticked on my colourful heart shaped and flower stickers which I got from another DIY mag. Now I'm ready to move on and resume to my History studies. Photos will be posted soon :)
